The sugar refinery plant, the first in Sabah, will produce sugar with the brand Gula Kinabalu and is expected to be operational in one year’s time. In 2012, Brahim’s Holdings Berhad acquired a 60% equity interest in Admuda Sdn Bhd. Admuda had received all necessary approvals from the Ministry of Resource Planning and Environment, and the Sarawak Government Land and Survey Department (Kuching Division) for a Proposed Sugar Refinery in Demak Laut Industrial Park, Kuching, Sarawak with a revised rated production capacity of 180,000 metric tonnes per annum of refined sugar.
