ALAM is a national initiative mooted by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia and spearheaded by Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad, with a vision to transform Malaysians’ mindset and behaviours on the environment. Derived from the 12th Malaysia Plan, ALAM aims to create awareness, educate and instil a whistleblowing culture by collaborating with public and private sectors as well as communities. ALAM also advocates policy for improved governance and bridging the policymakers with stakeholders. Amanah Lestari Alam (ALAM) aims to foster partnership between private, public & global organisations to shift Malaysian’s behaviours across generations for the planet’s future. Amanah Lestari Alam (ALAM) supports the implementation of environmentally focused and sustainable activities in schools and higher education institutions and the organization of awareness programs. ALAM channels funds from the private and public sectors and international organizations. It is committed to nurturing and promoting changes in thinking and behavior at all levels of generations, while fostering a culture of providing information to prevent acts that damage the environment.
