ASIAN PLANTATIONS BHD

Asian Plantations Limited (APL) was a Singapore-incorporated plantation company listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange. FGV acquired Asian Plantations in 2014. The acquisition was for a total cash consideration of GBP 120 million (equivalent to approximately RM 628 million). Asian Plantations owned 24,622 hectares (ha) or 60,840 acres of oil palm plantations through its five wholly-owned estates within Miri and Bintulu, Sarawak: Incosetia Estate, Grand Performance Estate, Fortune Estate, Kronos Estate and BJ Corp Estate. The acquisition was part of FGV's growth strategy to become a top agribusiness firm. FGV is understood to be undertaking an investigation into the company’s acquisition of Asian Plantations Ltd.
