Bio Molecular Industries Sdn Bhd (BioM) is principally engaged in the business of manufacturing and research and development of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals products for Positron Emission Tomography (PET). BioM produces, distributes and sells radiopharmaceuticals for diagnosis and treatment for many medical conditions. The company was awarded as a “BioNexus Status Company” by the Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation Sdn Bhd. The first BioM biotechnology project is a radio pharmacy producing radiopharmaceuticals used in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) for various deadly diseases, such as heart disease, cancer and neurological disorder. The company also has a radiochemistry lab for research and development (R&D) activities. BioM is an associate company of Masteel and has increased its paid-up share capital to RM20,120,000. Masteel’s shareholding in BioM had increased to 48.25% of the issued and paid-up share capital of BioM.
