Design Workshop is the main specialized design division of Core Design Gallery. It integrates 3 major elements of contemporary living ARCHITECTURE, INTERIOR DESIGN and CONTEMPORARY ART, and to creatively sculpt habitable space as an art where the essence of true spatial experience is discovered. Core Design Gallery, Design Workshop was founded by design architect Chun Hooi TAN, together with his partner Scarlette Lee who, a fine art enthusiast in year 2009. Upon obtaining his Bachelors and Masters Degree in architecture and building design from UK, Chun returned to embark on his architectural design journey by working in various international and local design firms. With experiences in new build, remodelling design and adaptive reuse architecture, Core Design Workshop has been emphasising on looking deep into the iNSIDE of Architecture, not in the context of interior design but simply representing architecture from the iNSIDE out. Putting Form and Function as the old norm, prioritising on defining the spatial quality within the context of architecture, with creating NEW spatial experiences as the top agenda of all the design programs, re-discovering the inner essence of what truly matters to the building users.
