Leader Energy Group Berhad (formerly known as Leader Energy Holding Berhad) (a wholly-owned subsidiary of HNG Capital Sdn Bhd) and its subsidiaries (collectively, “Leader Energy Group” or “the Group”) has a track record of about 30 years in the power industry. The Company is principally an investment holding company. The Group and its jointly controlled entities are an independent power producer (“IPP”) that is primarily engaged in development, ownership, operation and maintenance of power generation and transmission assets. Founded in 1994, our dreams and ambitions for the power business are fuelled by our core values and a strong drive for diversification. As at 1 July 2024, we (together with our jointly controlled entities) have established a diverse portfolio of power assets and projects with geographical footprints in seven markets across Asia. We own power assets and projects with a combined gross capacity of 567.6 MW. Since 2018, we have committed to only participate in renewable energy (“RE”) power projects and have embarked on our sustainability journey and integrated sustainable strategies into our future plans and business strategies. We have expanded and diversified our portfolio of power assets and projects in line with our long-term climate goal to achieve net-zero GHG emissions by 2030 in support of climate goals set under the Paris Agreement.
