Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the Gebeng Industrial Estate, near Kuantan, Malaysia, where it separates and processes Rare Earth materials. It has been operating since 2012 and supplies separated rare earth materials to customers in east Asia, the United States, and Europe. The plant processes Mt Weld concentrate and mixed rare earth carbonate (MREC) into high-quality rare earth materials used in electronics, wind turbines, and electric vehicles. Lynas is committed to sustainability, employing over 700 people, with operations certified to ISO standards for Environmental Management. Lynas is the world’s second largest producer of separated Rare Earth materials, and the only significant producer of scale outside of China.
