MATANG BERHAD (“Matang” or “Company”) is a public listed investment holding company involved in management of plantation estates, sales of fresh fruit bunches and property investment holding. Matang Berhad’s group or consolidated net assets based on the latest available audited financial statement was RM246.80 million (as at 30 June 2023) and its market capitalisation is about RM215 million. The principal activity of Matang is investment holding and it wholly owns Matang Holdings Berhad (“MHB”), which in turn owns Matang Agriculture and Plantation (Segamat) Sdn Bhd (“MAPS”). Matang also owns a subsidiary company, Matang Agriculture and Plantation (Yong Peng) Sdn Bhd (“MAPYP”). The subsidiaries of Matang are principally involved in the business of management of plantation estate, sale of fresh fruit bunches (“FFB”) from its oil palm estates and property investment holding. Matang is a Malaysia-based investment holding company. The Company is involved in investment holding, management of plantation estate, sale of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and property holding. Its plantation estate business includes procuring germinated oil palm seeds, planting or replanting and field upkeeping. In addition to plantation, Matang, through its subsidiary, Matang Holdings Berhad (MHB), also owns an industrial property comprising three blocks of building with total nett lettable areas of about 149,000 square feet located on a 3.2 acres leasehold land in Kawasan Perindustrian Larkin, Johor Bahru, Johor (Larkin Investment Property). Its durian business consists of ownership, operation and management of durian plantation, processing, production and distribution of durian, and related downstream business activities.
