Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRLSB) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Minister of Finance Incorporated (MOF Inc.) entrusted to administer the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project. MRLSB plays a key role involving various stakeholders in the ECRL, including the Malaysian Government, State Governments, contractors, partners, and the Malaysian community. MRLSB is the project owner of the ECRL – an electric railway project by the Malaysian Government that connects Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, and Selangor. ECRL connects major city centers, industrial hubs, ports, airports, and tourism zones and exchanges with existing railway lines in Peninsular Malaysia. ECRL is set to help generate the Malaysian economy and is part of the East Coast Economic Region (ECER) Master Plan, which was established to achieve equitable growth and development between the East Coast and West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
