In January 2023, Majlis Ugama Islam Sabah (MUIS) fully acquired MTTSB through its subsidiary MUIS Holdings Sdn Bhd. The company aims to provide services for Haji and Umrah packages, domestic and international tourism, hospitality, transportation, vacation packages, flight ticket bookings, and more. MTTSB is the first Bumiputera Sabah company offering travel agency services for Hajj and Umrah, a service previously dominated by travel agencies from Peninsular Malaysia. MTTSB began operations on March 1, 2023, at its new office in 3 Towers Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur, initially focusing on transportation operations or chauffeur-driven car rentals. MUIS Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd offers a wide range of travel destinations at affordable prices, Umrah and Hajj packages with complete and quality amenities, and car rental services. It provides cargo and logistics services, as well as travel packages for Umrah, Hajj and Ziarah. The company is a subsidiary of MUIS Holdings Sdn Bhd and provides services of flight ticket booking, transportation and accommodation.
