O'REC was established in 2008 with the intention of making the palm oil industry sustainable by recovering leftover oil. The company has evolved and now offers a complete lifecycle of palm oil discharge, including POME treatment systems, methane generation, and particulate matter emission control. They are the only company in the country with a complete system compliant with DOE requirements. They are also involved in various projects nationwide related to POME treatment, biogas generation, and other applications. The company was named O'REC, an abbreviation of oil recovery. O'REC have been in the trading market for furnace oil since 2015, and exporting.
